About Leap Ahead

Building Ownership, Dignity, and Community

Leap Ahead is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to expand real estate ownership for underserved communities and address California's housing crisis — one partnership at a time.

Our Mission

Leap Ahead was established with a singular purpose: to increase real estate ownership for underserved communities and confront the housing crisis head-on in California.

We began by supporting first-time home buyers on their journey to property ownership, and we invite current homeowners to join our mission by referring aspiring buyers to Leap Ahead. See FAQ for more information.

As our impact grew, so did our scope. In 2020 we embarked on Affordable Housing Development. In 2024 we expanded into Special Needs Housing. And in 2025, we partnered with a San Francisco Bay Area Real Estate Development Group to launch our Co-Development program — bringing institutional expertise to community-centered projects.
